85$ Tom Ford Eyeshadow.... Worth The Splurge?
I know you're all thinking I'm NUTS to spend 85$ on a single eye shadow... but guys its seriously breath taking.
Tom Ford relaunched these cream & powder eyeshadows this summer along with his Soleil collection. They come in 2 shades; Naked bronze & Bronze peach. Tom describes them as a metallic cream shadow topped with a celestial powder creating a sexy shimmering summer eye.
The packaging on these shadows are compact and high quality. It has a very clean classic look with the white and gold. The Shadow and mirror are the top half of the compact and then you twist the glass jar off. The Jar is a heavy duty glass; I swear Ive dropped this & it doesn't break.
These shadows are exactly what I expect from a luxurious product. The cream is so smooth and buttery. It blends out like a dream and doesn't budge all day. Generally I find applying these with your finger is best. It warms the product making it easy to spread around the eye and the best part.. the messier the better. There is no need to be exact with these because your going to layer the shadow over top.
The celestial powder on the other hand.. not the best shadow in the entire world but its amazing when combined with the cream. The shade is like a gold olive shimmer, I did swatches and you can see that the shadow isn't that jaw dropping on its own. You could easily find this shadow from Urban Decay or even the Drug store. (Try Makeup Revolution Metal Eye Foils in Rose Gold)
So where can you buy this? You can only find Tom Ford products at Nordstrom, Holt Renfrew, Saks fifth Ave, Sephora online and of course Tom Fords Website. Unfortunately these are sold out almost everywhere but Sephora right now has some in stock. They are only here for the summer, and then disappear until next year.
Overall this product is definitely rated a strong 9 out of 10. Its so simple and easy to use, a stunning colour, and lasts all day. I will definitely be re-purchasing and buying the other shade in the near future!
